Elixirs are a mixture of tincture and honey. If tinctures are too strong for your taste, try an elixir as a sweeter option! Herbs can be allies when after pains, exhaustion, and overwhelm present themselves during the post partum period. Herbs in this formula were selected to support the new mother when she is physically and emotionally recovering from childbirth. Elixers can be added to tea, water, or other beverages if you find them unpalatable alone.
My tinctures are made using 80 proof locally produced vodka. Honey used is regionally produced. Herbs are macerated for a minimum of 4 weeks.
Dosage: Suggested elixer dosage is 1-2 droppers full 3-5 times daily. It is recommended to begin at the low end of dosage and increase if needed. Shake well to incorporate honey.
Herbs Present: Motherwort, Mullein, Lady’s Mantle, Yarrow, Chamomile, Red Raspberry Leaf, Rose Hips, Tulsi
